“I Will Trust in the Lord” is a song about remembering what God has done in the past and trusting that He can do the same for us today.

As a father, I am especially grateful for the opportunity to have my kids sing and perform this song.

The lyrics in the song reference many familiar stories in the scriptures such as Daniel in the Lion's den, David and Goliath, Moses leading the children of Israel and others. We know that the Lord who performed miracles for his children in the past stands ready to bless and help each of us today. Each of our lives will bring its own lions, giants, fires, and moments when God's answer seems to be “wait” or even “no.” But when those times come, we can look back at what God has already done and remember that He is still the same God today and that we can put our trust in Him.

He is our strength, our Savior, and our friend.
